This is very comforting to know that it worked for you! I am working on sleep training right now and my hubby is not so supportive. He just can't stand to hear our son cry. So it's nice to hear that it works out eventually! I think it's worse at naptime... Thanks for your blog! It is really interesting to see what you two have to go through. You may be surprised to hear that I am Mormon, (I found your blog by searching for sleep training, not from the gay part!) but I just want you to know, now that I am here on your page, that I support families in whatever form they come in (I am not sure if you care what I support or not, but I just wanted you to know that I do). I know that not everyone has the same beliefs as me and I don't think that they should be forced to, by my government, by religions, or anyone. So it is lovely to see that your family seems just as loving as mine, it proves a lot of people wrong and I wish they would see that. Again, thanks for your blog and I hope that the sleep thing is still going well for you now.

Hi,

I got your email address from the "Contact Us" section on your website.
My name is Eyal Katz and I created a new website http://www.daddies2b.com
dedicated to Gay Dads and Gay Men considering parenthood.
I would be honored if you could add a link to my website in yours.
If you want me to put a banner to your site, let me know and I'll do it as soon as possible.
If both of us link to each other's website, we will help to increase the awareness and assistance to Gay Families out there.
My Website is:
http://www.daddies2b.com

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or issues.
I extremely appreciate your help.

Thanks,
--

I LOVE the Earthlust stainless steel water bottles because they are not only safe (very cool) but also have these super fun graphics and come in three sizes. I send my two youngest kids to school with one in their lunch pack everyday. Like any re-usable container you just need to be sure to clean them properly too.

There are 2 reasons we're doing it.... 1, it establishes good sleep habits for life. Steadily, an infant will increase his/her daytime wakefulness and even set his/her own napping schedule. 2, children under 4 need 10 to 14 hours of sleep each night for optimal growth. That's the really simple version.... We'll try to blog more about it in future posts. Thanks for your comments!
